Customs clearance of transit goods

Cooperation between countries raises the need for careful and correct customs procedures for any company. This is extremely important since even a minor mistake can cause losses or deadlines problems. For customs clearance of transit goods, the relevant documentation is required. Even a minor miscalculation can cause the organization to be blacklisted by customs, which can limit the possibility of conducting foreign economic business for years.

It makes no sense to assemble a logistics team at the company, as Logistic Service professionals have been dealing with such issues for several years. We will correctly and competently prepare all the necessary documentation. Besides, we will create all the conditions for unhindered transportation of goods around the world.

So, what cargo can be considered transit?

  • Cargo that is leaving the border customs point of the state that is not a member of the Customs Union. After that, it is sent to the terminal of the internal customs authority.
  • Cargo that is going through the territory of the Customs Union from one country to another.
  • Cargo that is being exported from the Customs Union after the completion of internal customs clearance processes.

Besides, transit cargo is the one that has not passed the customs clearance process (for example, because of the absence of necessary equipment). In this case, it will transit to another customs facility.

For correct customs clearance, the following requirements must be met:

  • transported products are not in the category of prohibited goods in the territory of the state to which they are imported;
  • documentation on transportation by customs transit is correctly compiled;
  • border control has been successfully completed;
  • transit declaration is completed and executed;
  • all the goods comply with the rules of Art. 109 of the Customs Code of the Russian Federation.

The transport used for transportation should also fit the customs standards (it should have all the seals and other necessary equipment).
